As a woman, I am many things: a daughter, a dancer, a wife and mother. A friend, a confidant, a co-conspirator, a gourmet cook. I have been a shopgirl and an Executive Director, an award-winning sales person and a happy, humble volunteer. I love dogs and campfires, chocolate, traveling anywhere/anytime and long, lazy naps.
I am also a shopper. I love to shop.
So, ignoring what I said about not living in the past, I have to tell you a little bit about what I did last summer…and really, over my past lifetime. I went shopping.
I had a long list of “gets” and am still checking things off. I scoured stores for shapes, textures, and colors. I spent hours online looking for inspiration, ideas, things that were working for me, things that I emphatically rejected! And I watched women, and those that love them, respond to what they were wearing, doing, shopping for, celebrating.
I shopped for advice and information, and got A LOT! I mined years of notebooks, scrapbooks, binders and file folders for perfect words, things that worked, ideas whose time has past, challenges to try again.
I can’t wait to share all of what I found and learned with YOU. After all, isn’t that what we were built for? When we are sharing — or shopping — together, we all get SO MUCH MORE!
