What I Did On My Summer Vacation, Part 1

What I Did On My Summer Vacation, Part 1

I read something recently about re-framing this back-to-school essay trope, allowing the student — or ANY writer — to shape their future self instead of recounting the past. I thought it was such a great way for anyone to introduce dreams and imagine goals with a new group of friends and teachers. And it’s what I want to share with you, my friends who I learn so much from, today.

I turned sixty (!) and decided to create a dream. I imagined a lifetime of experiences that could be pulled together to celebrate all the things that inspire me: line and shape and color and confidence, shared with friends. A place where we could build new stories and also produce a  vehicle for giving back.

With the encouragement of my family, and engaging the amazing talent of my friend Sunil Ramchandani, we outlined a business that would serve women with fashion that functions, creates wardrobes that wow, and respects EVERYbody. Sunil and I have SO many stories to share, so many ideas to explore, and a real commitment to making shopping FUN again!

We look forward to hearing from you and incorporating your ideas for the future — what will you wear? How will it make you feel? Let’s create something amazing together!
